Introducing DFS Trending: Your shortcut to strategy execution

We’re proud to announce the launch of our new DFS Trending page and DFS Zaps, two interconnected features designed to make strategy discovery, comparison, and execution easy and feasible for all.

DeFi Saver has long offered numerous tools for strategy execution. However, with the recent surge of our most recent integrations, such as Pendle and Ethena, we’ve noticed something important: most efficient strategies often require knowing exactly what you’re looking for and exactly how to execute it on DFS before you even start. In all actuality, this is a long-standing problem we’ve been looking to solve, and the exact reason behind he creation of features like DFS Discover, and now, DFS Trending.

Discover was the first step, as it offered a comprehensive overview of all supported protocols and their market metrics. Now, we’re taking it a step further with DFS Trending, to make it even easier to spot trending opportunities for yield, highly popular DFS use cases, and some highlighted news from both the DFS app and the DeFi ecosystem.

To access the DFS Trending page, simply open DeFi Saver and look towards the top of the left sidebar. Once you click, you will be presented with an overview of the currently most commonly executed strategies on DFS.

It’s worth noting that you do not need to connect your wallet to access it, and it’s available for all currently supported chains: Ethereum, Arbitrum, Optimism, and Base.

Strategies are presented in the form of Zaps. In DeFi, they generally represent a system of transaction batching that basically bundles multiple actions into one transaction, be it on-chain or cross-chain. It simplifies and speeds up an otherwise hefty process, hence the name.

In the context of our Trending page, Zaps are simply custom recipes made in advance, so that all you have to do is adjust the metrics and create your position.

As trends evolve, Zaps will constantly alternate and change in the lineup to match the latest opportunities and most popular strategies users execute on DFS-supported protocols. But as of now, you can instantly:

Create a long or short ETH position;
Create a long or short WBTC position;
Earn rewards on top of regular interest rates on your sUSDe and USDe, with Ethena Liquid Leverage in Aave;
Earn up to 4.47% APY from staking USDS with Sky Savings Rate;
Earn up to 9.97% APY with staked GHO (sGHO);
Grab extra incentives for USDC on Base;
Implement a new set of Automations for Compound v3;
And, of course, stay up to date with our monthly Newsletter releases!

In case it’s still a bit unclear, let’s take it one step at a time with the following example:

Alex dreams of buying an apartment (yes, she’s still optimistic), but with the current bank savings rates barely surpassing inflation, even a small condo seems like a stretch:
So, she opts for the decentralised route and uses DFS to supply 50,000 USDC to Aave at a modest 3.97% APY. Nothing big, but hey, it’s a start;
But, with the new Trending page, she now sees two better opportunities with 9.97% APY with Aave’s sGHO, and even around 20% APY with Ethena’s Liquid Leverage on Aave;

So she opts to try Ethena. Clicks on the Zap and adjusts the numbers, leverage, and debt token type, checks everything, and clicks create.
And voila! More than 10 manual steps, executed in one transaction, at the click of a button.

It would be great if Alex actually had 50,000 USDC to begin with, but hey, the point still stands. You do not have to be a DeFi veteran in order to find DFS Trending useful.
